Raw materials for the production of castings are melted in the Central Melting Plant. The cast iron is melted in a two-stage process, starting with hot blast cupolas with a diameter of 1200 mm. The output of these furnaces is 10-12 tons per hour.

During the melting process, the base metal, which is obtained from the cupola is transported to induction crucible furnaces where the metal is heated and its chemical composition is adjusted to customer specifications.

The induction furnaces work in four batteries:

  1. Battery 1 – two one-crucible induction furnaces NTG-3000, each with a capacity of 3,5 t, equipped with power frequency melting transformers
  2. Battery 2 – two one-crucible induction furnaces NTG-8000, each with a capacity of 8 t, equipped with power frequency melting transformers
  3. Battery 3 – two induction furnaces MTK-500, each with a capacity of 0,5 t, equipped with frequency converters, these are medium frequency furnaces
  4. Battery 4 – three one-crucible induction furnaces NTG-8000, each with a capacity of 8 t, equipped with power frequency melting transformers
