The Śrem Iron Foundry  (Odlewnia Żeliwa ‘Śrem’ Sp. z o.o.) was built in stages through the years 1964-1974 as a complex of three big foundries. The Foundry was built as a factory of the HCP Metal Works in Poznań and remained part of that concern until 1994. From 1 January 1994 the Foundry was an independent state-owned enterprise, it was privatized in 1999.

Since 1 July 2007, the shareholders of the Śrem Iron Foundry  have been companies owned and supervised by the Polish private investment company TDJ S.A. At present, the Śrem Iron Foundry plc is part of the PGO Group, which is listed on the Stock Exchange in Warsaw.

Odlewnia Żeliwa ‘Śrem’ Sp. z o.o. is a producer of castings made of grey, nodular and alloy cast iron for the agricultural machines, automotive, shipbuilding, mining, machine-building and many other industries. Full service is provided to our customers by two automatic moulding lines with horizontal mould partition, one semi-automatic moulding line, two hand moulding lines and the machining department.

Odlewnia Żeliwa ‘Śrem’ and Kuźnia Glinik, Pioma- Odlewnia, Fugo Odlew are the members of PGO Group – producer of steel castings, iron castings and closed-die, open-die forgings used in many industries.
